hey it's been a hot minute

It’s been a few weeks since I sent out one of these (supposedly) weekly touchpoints. I’ve been heads-down on a tangentially-related-but-different personal project that' has eaten up a lot of my time over the past month: a March Madness forecast for the men’s and women’s tournaments. That and sorting out some niche database issues have kept me busy, but I expect to get back to regular updates in the coming weeks, with some caveats coming up in May, which is shaping up to be an incredibly busy month.

• I’ll be presenting at AAPOR’s 80th annual conference in May. I’ve committed to writing a few blog posts that walk through the contents of the talk ahead of time, which will take up some time in April.

• One of my long-time friends is getting married in May, and I’ll be out of commission for travel and festivities around the 10th.

• My family is trekking out to the Grand Canyon to hike rim-to-rim, then will be road-tripping back.

In short, it’ll be slow-going for a bit, but slow-and-steady is fine by me.
